A 1 de Maio deste ano comprei um kit da Avalon Line Models
nesta loja. Passado mais de 1 mês pergunto a Steve Bennet o que se passa. A
resposta, passados uns 11 dias, foi que aguardava a motorização nesse dia ou no
seguinte. Uma ruptura de stocks algo longa, mas enfim…
Até comprei mais um kit, agora da sua linha Black Dog
Mining. Por mero acaso encontrei nalguns fóruns perguntas sobre a seriedade de Steve Bennet, de modelistas que se queixavam de demoras e falta de respostas. Apareceram logo respostas de quem o conhece a dizer que ele se pode atrasar, mas entrega sempre a mercadoria.
Pois bem, deve ter havido uma mudança de política comercial
deste cavalheiro. Ao fim quase 4 meses (25 agosto) cancelo as encomendas por
achar inadmissível o atraso e pedi o reembolso.
Nenhuma resposta de Steve Bennet até hoje. Recebi as £27.00
da segunda compra porque a Pay-Pal tomou as medidas ao seu alcance para me
ressarcir. As £62.50 que paguei não as recebi até hoje e creio que vai ser o
custo que terei de pagar para saber que tipo de pessoa é Steve Bennet.
O irónico nisto é que evitei até ao último momento
apresentar queixa à Pay-Pal preocupado com as consequências nefastas para Steve
Bennet. A Pay-Pal só intervém com reposição do valo da compra por falta de
entrega da mercadoria, se receber uma queixa até 45 dias depois da transacção.
Pergunto-me se o dono da empresa Avalon Line Models tem
alguma ideia do que Steve Bennet faz com os seus produtos.
On May 1st
I bought a kit form Avalon Line Models in this shop. A month later (on Jul11th)
I asked if is there anything wrong. Got a reply one week later, saying the
delay was due to the motorization and he expected to receive it that day or the
following. Too big delay comparing with what’s advertised in the site, but all
right...
I even
bought another kit! This time a resin kit from his own line.By chance I read on a forum some concerned modellers questioning his honesty. No deliver, no answering to mails. Replies to that post stating that he can be late with deliveries, but ends up delivering them made me wait patiently.
There must
have been a change of Steve Bennet’s policy.
After almost 4 months (on Aug25th) I sent him a
mail cancelling the order and asking for refund. No reply, no refund no
nothing.
If I got
back £27.00 (the cost of the second kit) was thanks’ to Pay-Pal who manage to
force him to give back that amount.
The £62.50
I paid for the first kit, guess it will be my fee to learn what kind of person
is Steve Bennet.
Ironically
I avoided to file a complaint to Pay-pal as I feared it would be very bad to
Steve Bennet, so the deadline of 45 days to file complaint was gone. He is off
the hook.
I wonder if
the owner of Avalon Line Models knows what Steve Bennet is doing to his
products.
