Os pantógrafos da Sommerfeldt já chegaram e aguardo uma
oportunidade para instalar um deles. Ensaiando a seco em cima de um eléctrico,
acho que a chapa onde o pantógrafo assenta está um pouco grande. Talvez tenha
de pedir ajuda para produzir umas chapas em fotogravado com as dimensões mais
apropriadas ao modelo.
O desenho das normas continua, com uma dúvida já mencionada
e que subsiste: como manter o conceito modular simples e ao mesmo tempo reproduzir
as ruas tortuosas e os pendentes elevados num sistema modular?
Para ilustrar as questões que menciono, fiz uma pesquisa de
vídeos no youtube e encontrei algumas coisas interessantes, em especial para
quem não vive em Lisboa.
The Sommerfeldt
pantographs have arrived and I’m waiting for an opportunity to install one. A dry
fit test revealed that the plate supporting them is a little bigger for the
roof. I might have to ask a friend to photoetch some replacement parts.
The design
of the norms is going on, but the doubts previously mentioned subsist: how to keep the norms simple and at the same reproduce
the winding streets and the steep inclines on the hills?

Imagens tiradas pela porta ao lado do condutor, mostrando a arquitectura e a atmosfera das ruas. Se por vezes apenas se vê a ombreira da porta não é porque quem filmou não fosse apto, apenas se resguardou nos cruzamentos com outros eléctricos ou quando as fachadas dos prédios parecam estar demasiado perto.
